Tips To Keep Your Spiritual Transformation Or Awakening Going

by Maurice Frazier

It's never too late in life to decide to become a better person. Maybe you've set out on this path recently after becoming more interested in a specific religion or spirituality in general. Whether you are seeking more information on a specific religious practice or simply want to continue your spiritual transformation, it may be a good idea to push pause for a moment, look at your current life, and figure out what you need to do to continue moving in the right direction. Here are some tips that might help you continue your spiritual or religious awakening.

Remove Mementos, Clutter, and People From Your Past

Before you can truly move forward as a new person, you have to put the past to rest. Maybe you made some bad decisions in the past or hung out with the wrong crowd. It's time to take inventory of your life and decide what you no longer want around you. This could be as simple as getting rid of some old clutter that reminds you of bad decisions from the past. It could also involve deciding you no longer want to hang out with someone who no longer sees things your way or someone who has been a bad influence on you.

Read and Research About Others Who Have Walked the Same Path

Once you've gotten rid of your old baggage, it's time to make sure you stay on the right path. Fortunately for you, you are not the first person to suddenly have a change of heart about the way you are going through life. One idea that might help would be to seek out reading material that documents how others like you have successfully had a change of heart. You could pick up a transformation of the heart book or any other material in which someone clearly demonstrates that it's possible to lead a good life over the long term. By surrounding yourself with positive examples, you'll have less temptation to fall off the path and return to the way that you used to live your life.

Use Role Models to Set Goals for Where You Want to Go From Here

While reading materials on others who have successfully gone through a complete life transformation, pay attention to not just the final result but the steps they took along the way. Find a role model or two that you can use to set your own goals as you move forward.
